Green Solar Technologies operates more like a broker than a true installer. They really hike up the prices on solar systems, and honestly, I don’t think I got my money’s worth.

I dropped $75k on my system, but my installer mentioned he could’ve done it for around $50k. Sure, that would’ve meant I’d have to be more hands-on throughout the whole process, but still.

Here’s a rough timeline of how things went down:
- February 2022: Sales Pitch
- March 2022: Contract Signed
- May 2022: Permits Submitted
- June 2022: Permits Approved
- October 2022: Panels Delivered
- November 2022: Panels Installed
- January 2023: Got Permission to Operate
- February 2023: Still waiting on info to set up SRECs in PA

Here are the main reasons I’m giving this a bad review:
- Project Managers take ages to respond (the longest wait was 2.5 weeks)
- My Project Manager quit, and it took them a month to assign me a new one. I found out from the new guy, even after I reached out to multiple departments.
- The inverter they installed is too small for the number of panels. It peaks at 15.12 kWh, but they put in an 11.4 kWh inverter. I agreed to the plans, but I wasn’t fully informed. Ended up paying for 10 extra panels I didn’t need.
- Communication across departments is poor, and they treat you like you don’t know anything.
- Had to get the layout changed several times because the installer told them it wouldn’t work, which it wouldn’t. Yet, they still submitted the wrong plans to the county for the permit.
- Payments to other parties were either delayed or not made, causing even more holdups.
- There’s just no sense of urgency.

When I asked about the warranty, this company put panels on my house and gave me the runaround. The supervisors are the absolute worst I've ever encountered. If you're considering solar, trust me, it's not worth the cash in the long haul.

For 19 out of the last 23 months, my system has been completely down. Don't count on any support after you buy, folks. Now, they’re ignoring my calls and haven’t bothered to get back to me. I’m planning to file some papers against them next week. It’s a real bummer that there are no local companies in PA willing to service their systems; they just won’t work with them. So, this is what you’re dealing with: a terrible company. Do yourself a favor and save your sanity and cash—steer clear of their systems. End of story.

Correspondence can be tricky. I got your useful response. Still, I reckon it might be wise to keep the replacement around a little longer, just in case the vacuum cleaner gives out. I can't say for sure if my husband was aware of what went down or if he did anything helpful with the electrics when he attempted to take out the battery. But hey, it’s working now!

They noticed this problem five months ago, but so far, no one has come to fix it. I've been calling them, and when I do get a response, they just pass the blame to another department, leaving the issue unresolved. They promise you a warranty and say they'll take care of it, but after that, it feels like they just don’t give a hoot. A buddy of mine has a different solar company, and they've been way more dependable. I'm really let down by green solar.

These folks are peddling a total scam. They put a system in my home, and those 38 panels are only bringing in about $70 a month. After shelling out $276 monthly for the equipment, I'm left with an average bill of around $200. I had my roof checked before they set everything up, and they assured me it was fine. But guess what? They slapped the system on a bad roof! Now, Green Technologies wants to hit me with a $9,950 bill to take it down and reinstall it. If I hire someone else, I lose my warranty. I've been voicing my complaints for two years, and they won't even pick up the phone. Seriously, steer clear of these people!

Ms. Mara was super helpful in convincing me to finally take action that I should've done ages ago. I messed up by not asking the right questions. I was looking for a complete house backup, but I didn’t mention that we had a heat pump, and that’s on me.

The system is functioning as it should, and the questions I did manage to ask were addressed satisfactorily.

Watch out, this company is really bad with their repair times. Their equipment is subpar and their business practices are questionable. Seriously, steer clear! The solar edge inverters fail frequently and it can take ages to get them fixed. You definitely shouldn't go with this company.
